Musical instruments need care to keep sounding their best. At Spectra Music we provide repair services for many of the instruments and equipment we sell.
Basic repairs are carried out in-store, while more extensive repairs are handled by trusted specialists and service partners for the brands we supply.
If you are unsure whether your instrument can be repaired, simply bring it to the shop and we will gladly take a look.

Electronic Repairs
Many electronic issues can be repaired and serviced in-store.

We also assist with repairs on guitar amplifiers, foot pedals, pickups and other electronic accessories.
All in-shop electronic repairs are carried out or are supervised by Lizelle Horn.
Wooden Instrument Repairs
String instruments sometimes need a little extra care. Whether it is a small adjustment or a more serious repair, we will help guide the process.
Typical repairs include:
- Broken neck repairs
- Bridge repairs
- Intonation adjustments
- Action adjustments
- Restringing and instrument care
Woodwork and specialist repairs are carried out under the supervision of professional luthiers.
Instrument woodwork is done at the Archwood Luthier Shop by Mr. Archie Marais.

Our Repair Philosophy
We try to stock brands for which we can provide proper service and replacement parts. When purchasing a new instrument, it is worth considering whether spare parts are available for that brand.
Whatever your repair needs may be, we will always do our best to assist. If a repair is not possible, we will gladly help you find the best replacement and make sure it is properly set up and ready to play.
